We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Deputy Station Manager

Location: Aba, Abia

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a proactive Deputy Station Manager (Aba Station), who will oversee the daily operations of the station, ensuring efficient service delivery, staff supervision, safety compliance, and achievement of sales targets. She plays a key role in maintaining operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
Operations Management:

  • Assist in supervising daily station activities, including fuel sales and retail operations
  • Ensure proper functioning of pumps and other equipment
  • Ensure accurate dispensing of petroleum products and monitor stock levels
  • Support inventory management, including reconciliation of fuel and product stock

Sales & Customer Service:

  • Promote loyalty programs and upsell retail products
  • Deliver excellent customer service and resolve customer complaints promptly
  • Drive sales performance and ensure targets are met or exceeded

Staff Supervision:

  • Provide on-the-job training and support to staff
  • Supervise, scheduling, and coordinating station staff
  • Monitor staff performance and ensure adherence to company policies

Financial Control:

  • Monitor daily cash sales and ensure proper cash handling procedures
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports
  • Ensure accurate documentation of transactions

Health, Safety & Compliance:

  • Conduct routine safety checks and report hazards
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations
  • Enforce the use of PPE and safe handling of petroleum products

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain proper records and documentation
  • Assist in preparing reports for management
  • Support implementation of company policies and procedures

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in a similar role (preferably in oil & gas or retail)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
